2GB is not enough storage space for me
Here at WHW, i give away a 1-Year Hosting package every week. It only costs a buck to enter into the WHW draw, so why would anyone want to pay a set monthly fee to a traditional hosting provider?
Well, some of you might be saying to yourselves: “That’s great, but 2GB just ain’t enough“. Certainly, there are no shortage of hosting deals out there, many of them offer 10 times the amount of disk space for a monthly fee. Why should you settle for less?
These are all important questions to ask yourself before purchasing any web hosting plan. However, statistically (from tigertech.net) the average website uses less than 100MB of disk space. That works out to about 1/20th of the storage space that comes with a 2GB WHW package.
Other estimates were even more revealing. A random sample of 500 web sites (from cozahost.com) indicated that the average web site requires only 25Mb of disk space. That would make a 2GB hosting plan by WHW, about 80 times bigger than necessary.
So, you also have to make sure to ask yourself this:
Should I get 80 or 800 times more space than i need?
Why not maybe give it a go this Wednesday?
