I went ahead and found a great deal on domain names (happening right now). I’m not saying you need to go out and buy a domain name this instant, but if you’re already thinking of doing so.. i would recommend getting your domain from Dotster. They’ve been selling domains for a while now and i actually bought my first domain name (touchbasic.com) from them back in 2000. That domain is still registered with Dotster, 6 years later, and so i’d have to say that i’ve been quite satisfied with them thus far.

I never used them for hosting but the good thing about Domain Names is: you don’t have to get your hosting from the same place you registered your domain from. Some people would even go so far as to say that it is best practice not to do so. But i think i’m going to have to save all that for another post.

Remember: You own your domain.
It has nothing to do with me and everything to do with you. A domain is your tiny little plot of land on a virtual map that extends out into the horizon and beyond. Your domain registrar charges you an annual fee for this priviledge. But in return, you get to reap all the benefits that go along with it.
