The 3rd WHW winner has been notified. I sent out an email about an hour ago and should hopefully get a reply in the next day or two. At which point, i will put up the official post for the WHW winner - week 3 - stay tuned.
Well, it was another interesting week here..
In case you missed it, there were 3 last minute entries that got into the draw before the deadline. That brought the final number of entries up to 11 in total. Oddly enough, there were less participants in the WHW draw - week 3 - than either of the previous 2 weeks. I guess i’ll have to come up with some more unique incentives to get things going again in week 4. It’s tough work - giving away 1-Year of Web Hosting every Wednesday - seriously.
Anyway, thanks again to all of you who participated this week and don’t forget to keep an eye out for more WHW incentives. Remember to subscribe to the WHW feed, that way you can easily stay informed of any newly published posts, etc. Or, just check back often to see what’s new in week 4.

Well, it looks like another week is coming to a close here at Web Hosting Wednesday. From the looks of things, and unless there is some kind of rush of last-minute entries, this week’s odds are looking pretty good.
Here’s the usual breakdown (for WHW Week 3) thus far..
8 Entries Total (at last count):
- with 1 entry you have a 12.5% chance of winning
- with 2 entries you have a 25.0% chance of winning
- with 3 entries you have a 37.5% chance of winning
- with 4 entries you have a 50.0% chance of winning
- with 5 entries you have a 62.5% chance of winning
Now, obviously these numbers assume that you are already in this week’s draw for 1-Year of Web Hosting, and that nobody else submits an entry before the deadline tonight at 11:59 EST.
Still, even if you bought 2 entries now, and the total count went up from 8 to 10 entries, you would still have a 20% chance of winning. Those are good odds, considering you’d be getting 2GB of disk space and 32GB of bandwidth per month for an entire year. 2 entries only costs 2 dollars - and if you win, you’re hosting needs are taken care of for quite a while. Or, just get 1 entry for a buck and play a 1 in 9 chance - which works out to 11.1% - still pretty good.
The choice is always up to you.
